Israeli start-up Celltick Technologies, developer of mass-media streaming solutions for mobile networks, has completed a $10 million financing round from British fund Elwin Capital Partners and the Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP) fund.

In a previous financing round, Celltick Technologies raised $3.5 million from the Italian CIR fund, JVP and private investors.

Celltick's technology turns the cellular phone into a communications channel, offering subscribers direct access to content and applications. The location-based technology sends real-time information to cellular phone screens on the network

Celltick's interactive media systems have been installed at a number of cellular network operators in Europe and Asia in the past year. In June, the company announced an agreement with leading British operator BT Wireless (British Telecom) for comprehensive testing on the network, ahead of the product's full commercial launching. Under the cooperation, Celltick's system was presented as an integral part of the BT Wireless pavilion at the Network Telecoms exhibition in Britain.

Celltick was founded in early 2000 by Yossi Wellingstein. The company has 45 employees in Israel, Britain and Scandinavia.
