Investors include the Concord Ventures fund, Giza, and the Challenge Fund – Etgar. The company is engaged in sub-cellular proteomics that utilizes proprietary protein extraction, separation, and tagging methods to discover novel membrane associated with protein drug targets.
The Challenge Fund – Etgar II has invested $3 million in start-up Proteologics. The investment completes a first financing round by the company, totaling $17 million.
During part of the first stage of the financing round in early 2001, Proteologics raised $14 million, led by the Concord Ventures fund, which invested $9 million. Other investors in this round were US fund Alex Brown and Giza.
The company value for the financing round was not disclosed, but an unofficial estimate puts the value of the round at $45-48 million, after money.
