The continuing slump in the housing market is forcing companies to offer higher discounts. Rotem-Shani, owned by Yehuda, Yedidya and Avi Turisky, recently signed a contract with Hever (Israel Defense Forces and security forces servicemen and pensioner association). Under the contract, Rotem-Shani will sell Hever members apartments in a new project in north-east Raanana at unprecedented discounts. A 168 sq.m. duplex, plus a 42 sq.m. garden will sell for $450,000, a 13% discount. Four-room apartments will sell for $248,000 and 179 sq.m. penthouses, plus 118 sq.m. roofs will sell for $620,000, both at an 11% discount.

The company says that as a result of the sales campaign, it managed to quickly sell 19 out of the 300 apartments it will construct, mostly in 14-storey towers.
