The Arabic edition is designed to provide a news source for readers of Arabic in Israel and overseas.
Hebrew daily "Yediot Ahronot" reports that Ynet, the "Yediot Ahronot" web site, is currently launching an Arabic-language web site, to be called Arab Ynet. The site, based on translations from the Hebrew Ynet site, will be the first online Israeli web site in Arabic. The site will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The site, www.arabynet.com, includes news flashes, political, economic, and cultural news reports on Israel, opinions and commentary, and magazine articles on matters of interest to Israeli society, including the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. All material will be translated from the Hebrew Ynet site.
The Arabic edition is designed to provide a news source for readers of Arabic in Israel and around the world, who will have access to objective news reports that have not been edited for political content.
