Comverse unit signs marketing agreement with Davox of Massachusetts

Under the agreement, the value of which was not disclosed, the companies will jointly market contact center solutions in the Asia-Pacific region.

Davox Corporation, which provides customer interaction management solutions, announced today that it had signed a marketing and product integration agreement with Comverse (Nasdaq: CMVT) subsidiary Comverse Infosys to jointly market contact center solutions in the Asia-Pacific region. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

The Davox-Comverse Infosys agreement will include the integration of Davox's customer interaction management suite and Comverse Infosys' ULTRA recording and monitoring products. An integrated Davox-Comverse Infosys solution has already been implemented at three sites within NTT-Tracom, an outsourcing company in Japan.

“The alliance between Davox and Comverse Infosys will allow both companies to gain new customers and enhance market share throughout Asia-Pacific, especially in the high-growth Australian, Indian and Japanese markets, ” Davox said.

Comverse Infosys Asia-Pacific vice president Ady Meretz said, “Our partnership with Davox will give contact centers in the region access to solutions that streamline operations and lead to greater customer satisfaction and increased revenue opportunities.”

Comverse Infosys, based in Woodbury, NY, develops digital voice, video and data recording and content management applications for the security and contact center markets.

Davox, based in Massachusetts, trades on the Nasdaq at a $122 million market capitalization. The company employs about 500 workers.

Comverse shares closed at $23.15 on Nasdaq on Wednesday.
