European company Omnia Electronics plans to initially distribute the electronic pen developed by Intellipen in Switzerland, Austria, and Germany.
European company Omnia Electronics will distribute an electronic pen, called the WebStick, which was developed by Israeli company Intellipen. The deal is worth $4.35 million. Omnia Electronics plans to initially distribute the pen in Switzerland, Austria, and Germany.
The pen was invented in 1999 by Rani Shapira, who designed it in DOS. During its development, the pen was found to be able to work as a cursor as well, and the company focused on this area.
The company is also negotiating with a large US bank to adapt the pen for use under US digital signature regulations.
