Magic Software Enterprises (Nasdaq: MGIC), which provides application building technology for businesses, today announced the reappointment of David Assia as its chairman.
Assia is a co-founder of Magic, and served as the company’s CEO from its inception in 1986 until September 1997. Assia held the position of chairman from 1986 until 1999 and vice chairman since October 2000.
Assia replaces Dan Goldstein, founder and chairman of Formula Systems (Nasdaq: FORTY), Magic’s majority shareholder. Goldstein will continue as a director of the company.
Dan Goldstein said, “David Assia’s extensive knowledge of the company and the industry as well as his experience will continue to add value to the company and our shareholders."
Magic’s Nasdaq-listed shares closed on Monday at $1.88.
