Merrill Lynch country manager for Israel Jerry Mandel is hosting a conference in London this week to present Israeli companies to leading European and other international investors.
Among the scores of Israeli participants are Bank Hapoalim, Bank Leumi, Teva (Nasdaq: TEVA), Bezeq, ECI Telecom (Nasdaq: ECIL), Israel Chemicals (ICL), MA Industries and Partner Communications (Nasdaq: PTNR). International attendees include American Express (NYSE: AXP), UBS Warburg, Fidelity, Alliance Capital, Schroder Investment Management, Deutsche Asset Management and T. Rowe Price.
Representatives of the Israeli concerns and banking concerns will meet at the conference. Mandel said the meetings will expose the Israeli companies to leading international institutional investors and financiers. Merrill Lynch International president Jacob Frenkel said the conference was part of Merrill Lynch's long-term commitment to the Israeli economy.
