Nintendo buys Magic’s eDeveloper solution

The deal is valued at $250,000 and involves the development of an online information and order processing system for the Italian market.

Magic Software Enterprises (Nasdaq: MGIC), a provider of application development technology and business solutions, today announced that Nintendo of Europe GmbH had selected its Magic eDeveloper product in a deal valued at $250,000.

The project involves the development of an online information and order processing system for the Italian market.

The solution will enable Nintendo customers to place and track their orders over the Internet. Magic says that Nintendo expects the system to increase customer satisfaction by accelerating the order placement and tracking process and by streamlining Nintendo's internal processes.

Magic said Nintendo would upgrade its existing production planning system and enhance it with graphical information screens and additional business logic by using Magic eDeveloper.

Nintendo of Europe GmbH Information Systems manager Akihiko Matsuo said, "We selected Magic eDeveloper because its open and scalable technology will allow us to offer business services and collaborate online with our customers."

Magic shares closed on Nasdaq at $1.89 on Tuesday.
