Dun & Bradstreet Israel figures indicate the number of employees at leading law firms was stable, despite the recession and streamlining.
Herzog, Fox & Neeman is the largest law firm in the Dun & Bradstreet Israel 2002 ranking, with 73 attorneys. The firm surpassed Balter, Guth, Aloni & Co., which held the top ranking in the past two years, and Yigal Arnon & Co., which was in second place. Herzog, Fox & Neeman was ranked third last year.
Yigal Arnon & Co. and Balter, Guth, Aloni & Co. each employ 68 attorneys. The number of attorneys is not an indication of the revenue or profits of a firm and its partners. Yigal Arnon & Co. has the largest number of partners – 23, and Herzog, Fox & Neeman has 22.
An analysis of Dun & Bradstreet Israel's figures show that the recession has had little impact on law firms, and the cutbacks characterized in other sectors have had only a marginal effect so far.
