Jobinfo: Senior high-tech job market reviving

"The number of technology positions has been rising since the first quarter of 2002."

"Starting in the first quarter of 2002, a new wave of senior positions in the high-tech sector is emerging. The number of technology positions rose during this period. There is demand for vice-presidents and development managers in software and hardware; product managers in hardware, communications, optical and multi-field companies; niche managers and project leaders for algorithms; and senior systems engineers.

"There has also been an increase in the number of senior marketing and sales positions for markets in Eastern Europe, the Far East, and South America. These positions require proven sales experience and capability involving millions of dollars," said Jobinfo executive management department manager Gilad Ayalon, who specializes in recruitment and suitability of industrial executives.

According to Ayalon, senior management salaries have stabilized at NIS 35,000-40,000 for technology positions and NIS 30,000-40,000 for marketing and sales, depending on the size of the company and the candidate's experience.
