The Korea Israel Industrial R&D Foundation (Koril-RDF) has approved $1 million in grants for four joint projects by Korean and Israeli companies. Koril-RDF supports half the cost of joint projects up to $500,000 per project. In addition to financial support, Koril-RDF helps Israeli companies to integrate with high-tech Korean activities.
The four joint projects are:
Israeli company Runcom Technologies and Korean company APST will cooperate to develop a digital wireless video system to provide video-on-demand, video-by-vote, Internet-via-television and e-commerce services.
Israel's Wizcom Technologies (Neuer Markt:WZM) will adapt its optical reader to Korean Hangul script in a joint project with Korean company Hirat.
Israel’s LocatioNet and Korea's Neo Telecom will jointly develop a vehicle monitoring system, based on a proprietary short-range communications system that locates and monitors vehicles, maps hospitals, service stations, etc.
Razel Information Systems of Israel and Nacetech of Korea received a grant to conduct a technology feasibility study for a joint project.
