Yaaahoo!

The greatest news service via the net – and it's free.

Today’s site needs no introduction. It is probably the greatest news service you can get via the net. It is absolutely free. Take advantage of it right away. Everyone, regardless of the business they are in will benefit from it. Run – do not walk to Yahoo news alerts

You are probably already registered if you use Yahoo. If not, register, follow the easy instructions, and choose your personal preferences. When you have finished, you will now get sent directly to your in box the exact news that you want – from the exact sources that you select. The sources are comprised of the leading publications in a wide variety of industries.

Think about this for a moment. For absolutely free, Yahoo will push to you via email the exact news that you choose. The key feature here is that you can select via a key word search the exact news you want. You will then get only that news – from a range of sources. It is that easy.

You want to do some competitor intelligence, simply use your competitor’s name in the key word. All articles, press releases and the like that mention the competitor will be sent directly to you. You want to keep up with the latest on nanotechnology – use it as your key word and you are all set. Want to track a particular venture capital fund – no problem – make the fund your key word and Yahoo does the rest. It is really that simple.

Any business, regardless of its particular industry can benefit from this free service. Now, the news you read will be only the news you really need and want.

The only tricky part about the alerts is choosing your key words. Here, you may have to experiment a little. Choose the key words you think are best. If the news sent to you is not on point, then change the key words until you get the news you want. Also, you may want to set up numerous alerts using various key words to ensure that you get exactly what you want.

If you have any problems choosing your key words, or have any questions about Yahoo Alerts, mail me and I will be glad to help you.

That’s it. The alert service speaks for itself. Check it out and take full advantage of it. One caveat – for now the service is free, but I predict that Yahoo will start charging for it in the not so distant future.
