Vertex Management Israel's new London office will be its fifth overall.
Former JP Morgan H&Q managing director Robert Genieser is joining the International Vertex Group, and will manage Vertex Management Israel's new London office. Genieser will also work for Vertex Management UK, another Vertex Group company. Genieser formerly cooperated with Vertex Management Israel in its deals. Vertex declined to comment on the report.
Vertex Management Israel's new London office will be its fifth worldwide. The company also has offices in Beijing, Singapore, and Redwood City, California. The firm's main offices in Israel are in Savyon. Sources close to the fund believe it will now be able to undertake deals for European-based Israeli companies.
Vertex Management Israel manages $250 million in three funds, including Vertex II Venture, which was closed at $160 million early this year. Vertex Management Israel has a partnership agreement with the International Vertex Group, through which it manages another $70 million. Managing partner Yoram Oron founded Vertex Management Israel. Singapore Technologies and Discount Capital Markets also have stakes in the management company. Vertex Management Israel's prominent exits include MoreCom, Vision Tech, Tradeum, and Telegate.
