Heidrick & Struggles closes Israel office

The firm is considered one of the world's top two executive headhunters.

Sources inform “Globes” that headhunting firm Heidrick & Struggles has closed its Israel office after three years of operations. The firm is considered one of the top two companies in the world for executive searches.

Sources in Israel’s recruitment industry said the decision to close the office was a result of Heidrick & Struggles’ high fees, which hampered its ability to compete in the Israeli market. Israeli agencies generally charge a fee worth one month’s salary for each placement, while Heidrick & Struggles charged an upfront fee of 33% of the annual salary, even in cases when no candidate could be found for a position.
