Israeli company Ex Libris recent completed the delivery of its catalogue system to the British Library for $1.8 million. Ex Libris specializes in software solutions and accompanying services for libraries and data centers in Israel and around the world.

Ex Libris believes that the sales of its ALEPH 500 flagship product in Germany to various customer will also lead to sales of its other products. El Libris recently installed its ALEPH 500 program at the University of Innsbruck, Swiss pharmaceutical giant Novartis (NYSE: NVS; LSE: NOV; SWX: NOVN), the Vienna library, and other Swiss libraries.
Ex Libris has invested over $5 million in developing the ALEPH 500 international system for library management. The system is based on client server technology, an Oracle (Nasdaq:ORCL) database, and international standards. The system, currently installed in hundreds of libraries spread over 50 countries, supports a variety of languages and alphabets.
