Department of Customs and VAT director general Eitan Rub: Unreported income in Israel has grown by NIS 5-8 billion, annually.
Unreported income in Israel could amount to as muchas NIS 70 billion and are growing by NIS 5-8 billion annually, according to Ministry of Finance Department of Customs and VAT director general Eitan Rub.
Meeting with financial journalists this morning in Jerusalem, Rub said the annual amount of evaded taxes and VAT ranged from NIS 2 billion to NIS 4 billion.
Research has shown that the amount of unreported income in Israel comprises 12-15% of GDP, similar to other Western countries.
