Juniper Networks to set up Israeli branch

Juniper Networks Israel will help Juniper Networks representatives in Israel with sales, not replace them.

Communications equipment manufacturer Juniper Networks (Nasdaq:JNPR) announced today that it is establishing a branch in Israel. Juniper Networks Israel will focus on marketing, sales, and business development, in order to bring the parent company closer to existing and potential customers in Israel. Until now, Motorola Israel, Netcom, Ericsson (Nasdaq:ERICY), and Siemens (NYSE:SI; XETRA: SIE) represented Juniper Networks in Israel.

Former eXalink and Motorola Israel executive Israel David will manage Juniper Networks Israel. He said the synergy between Juniper Networks, its Israeli branch, and its representatives would be preserved, and that the representatives’ business would not be affected. Juniper Networks Israel will initially have four marketing and sales employees. Juniper Networks did not disclose the budget for the Israeli branch.
