Telrad Connegy announced today that Kenya’s Defense Ministry had selected its S1000 UNITe system to support its internal enterprise communications. The newly installed systems have replaced the Kenyan Defense Ministry’s inferior switchboards. Telrad Connegy has supplied three systems serving around 3,000 subscribers in Nairobi so far. The company develops and installs both UNITe and UNITe IP enterprise communications systems.
Telrad Connegy VP sales Itai Becher said, “This is a complex project that supports a large number of users in an organization. What is unique about this project is the ability to support a larger number of users than a single system is able to support, by connecting several S1000 UNITe systems on one network.”
Following this successful installating of the system, the Kenyan Defense Ministry is considering further cooperation with Telrad Connegy in the future, including the installing of UNITe systems in other cities besides Nairobi.
Telrad Connegy develops and provides digital enterprise telecommunications and IP-based systems. The company product line includes the popular UNITe, as well as the advanced UNITe IP systems, which include provide both wireless and Internet-based communications. More than 45,000 Telrad Connegy systems are installed in twenty countries worldwide. The company’s products are distributed via its global network, which includes about 250 distributors.
