Negotiations with other potential parties to operate Club Med in Eilat are continuing.
Club Med Israel announced today that its vacation clubs in Eilat and Achsiv would remain closed again this summer for the second straight year. The Eilat club has 275 rooms, and the Achsiv club 280.
The security situation is preventing the opening of the Achsiv club, while the problem with the Eilat club is a dispute with the Ofer Brothers, which owns the property. Because of the dispute, Club Med Israel recently decided to discontinue its agreement.
Club Med Israel manager Sigalit Ben Hayoun said that negotiations with other potential parties to operate Club Med in Eilat were continuing. Negotiations with Fattal Israel Hotel Management, among others, were recently reported.
