The Antitrust Authority alleges that We, Harel, Triple C, Chayon, Matrix and Binat rigged tenders and fixed prices.
The Israel Antitrust Authority notified seven computer companies and 15 of their executives this morning that subject to a hearing they are to be charged with forming a cartel and rigging tenders and cost estimates.
The companies under suspicion to be invited for a hearing are: We, Harel Computers, Triple C, Chayon, Emet, Matrix IT Ltd. (TASE:MTRX) and Binat. They are to be charged with offenses of forming a cartel and fraud.
Investigations allegedly found that executives at all the companies formed a cartel-style agreement and coordinated prices for 22 large government tenders in order to raise prices. The companies hit hardest were Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. (IAI) (TASE: ARSP.B1) and Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) (TASE: ELEC.B22) and others. The violations worth tens of millions of shekels took place between 2009 and 2012.
