Amdocs (NYSE: DOX) has announced the deployment of its ClarifyCRM system at BT Wholesale Network Build, the network construction arm of BT Group's network services and solutions business.
Amdocs said that BT Wholesale Network Build was using ClarifyCRM to automate the entire ordering process, from order capture and management to fulfillment and billing activation, as well as supporting sales and marketing efforts. Amdocs ClarifyCRM integrates numerous internal and external IT systems and manages tasks allocated to more than 6,000 field personnel, while minimizing manual effort and errors.
Chris Hunt, Head of Network Build Transformation Programme at BT Wholesale, said, "The Amdocs delivery capabilities and the functionality of Amdocs ClarifyCRM together are helping us transform a highly manual operation into a single, seamless workflow that streamlines every order and every customer interaction."
Amdocs ClarifyCRM, which includes Process Manager, a product developed by Amdocs in cooperation with BT, was already being used extensively throughout BT Group, one of the world's leading providers of telecommunication services, and can be integrated with BT's existing Operations Support Systems (OSS) components.
Phase one of Amdocs ClarifyCRM implementation in Network Build went live in May 2003. Orders can be submitted to the system through a Business-to-Business gateway, via the Amdocs ClarifyCRM web-ordering module, or manually by sales operations staff. The system then manages: receiving and validating orders; decomposing the orders down to their associated tasks; and coordinating all interactions with a third party scheduling, allocation and workforce management system. Amdocs ClarifyCRM is integrated with a third party billing application to provide a comprehensive, end-to-end solution.
BT Wholesale provides comprehensive network services within the UK to more than 500 communication companies, network operators and service providers.
Amdocs shares closed up 2.17% at $26.40 in New York yesterday.
