SkyVision receives license to provide satellite communications service

SkyVision will use the license to provide communications services to Eastern Europe and Africa.

Global satellite broadband Internet connectivity provider SkyVision has received a Ministry of Communications satellite communications license. The ministry has already granted similar licenses to Bezeq International, Golden Lines, Barak, Euronet, and Gilat Satellite Networks (Nasdaq: GILTF).

SkyVision CEO Mark Gazit said the company would use the Ministry of Communications license to provide communications services to Eastern Europe and Africa, the company's main areas of business. Gazit said Israel's geographical position between African and Europe gave it advantage in providing satellite communications services, enabling it to provide high-quality and readily available Internet service from developed to developing countries.

SkyVision is a global satellite broadband Internet connectivity provider that specializes in providing services to countries with rudimentary communications networks. The company operates in Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Russia, the Mediterranean basin, East Asia, and Africa. SkyVision operates a communications center in Europe based in international communications sit Aflenz, Austria.
