NDS, a News Corporation company and leading provider of technology solutions for digital pay-TV, announced today that Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG) has integrated their ICOMS convergent billing and customer care solution with the NDS VideoGuard conditional access system. It is anticipated that the solution will be deployed to US operators in Q4 2003.
Convergys is a leader in integrated billing, employee care, and customer care services.
Under the agreement, the Convergys ICOMS billing and customer care solution will communicate directly with the VideoGuard conditional access system. The joint solution offers Multiple Systems Operators (MSOs) a number of capabilities including: subscriber provisioning, Pay-Per-View reportback history management, Pay-Per-View schedule information, smart card inventory and set-top box non-responder reporting.
Convergys' ICOMS is a convergent billing and customer care solution uniquely designed to meet cable and broadband operators' subscriber, billing and operations management requirements. ICOMS is designed specifically for the convergent video, high-speed data and telephony market. Current customers include seven of the top 10 U.S. cable operators.
