The shekel-dollar exchange rate fell another 0.18% to NIS 4.423/$.
The representative shekel-euro exchange rate zoomed 0.98% to NIS 5.3534/€ today, its highest point in the past 11 months. The rise in the euro rate follows the weakening of the dollar on global markets, where the dollar-euro exchange rate set a new record - $1.2123/€.
The euro surged 1.3% in continuous trading, reaching NIS 5.362/€. The representative shekel-euro exchange rate is currently only NIS 0.014/€ lower than the all-time high of NIS 5.367/€.
The shekel continued to strengthen against the dollar. The shekel-dollar exchange rate dropped another 0.18% to NIS 4.423/$, after having fallen as much as 1.6% below day’s starting exchange rage. The shekel-dollar exchange rate fell for the seventh consecutive day, and has slid by NIS 0.114/$ over the past two weeks, amounting to a cumulative 2.5% shekel appreciation against the dollar.
The shekel-euro exchange rate has risen NIS 0.779/€ over the past year, amounting to a 17.04% cumulative shekel depreciation.
