The list, that stressed leadership during hard economic times, included KaVaDo's Yuval Ben-Itzhak and Sanctum's Steve Orrin.
The chief technology officers (CTOs) of two Israeli companies have made the list of InfoWorld's CTO 25 Awards for 2004: KaVaDo's Yuval Ben-Itzhak and Sanctum's Steve Orrin.
InfoWorld said that this year's awards honored the CTOs not only for their influence but for their leadership during an economic slowdown. "Since the boom, there has been too little money. So, to lead their organizations into better times, our 25 honorees had to get creative in 2003", InfoWorld said.
In guiding his company to survival during the economic downturn, Ben-Itzhak was cited for focusing on designing security software "that provides customers with an immediate payback".
InfoWorld termed Orrin an evangelist of embedded security.
