US co KLA-Tencor sets up new Israeli division

$4 million was invested in the new division, which will have 30 engineers.

KLA-Tencor (NYSE:KLA) has established a new Israeli division at a cost of $4 million. The new division will be separate from Migal Ha'Emek-based KLA Israel, and will report directly to company management in the US.

The new division will have 30 engineers, including both veteran and new employees. The division is now hiring.

KLA Israel is KLA-Tencor's research and manufacturing center for quality control optical measuring systems for the semiconductor and associated industry. KLA Israel claims it controls 70% of the sector's global market.

KLA Israel has 200 employees, mostly software, optics, electronics, and machine engineers.
