"The Indian Express" claims that Mossad and General Security Services experts will arrive in India this week, "to conduct the first field security surveillance course for Indian Army Intelligence Corps sleuths." The paper states, "Military Intelligence is looking at developing expertise in gathering 'actionable human intelligence' in areas where probable sources are under threat from terrorists."
Citing Indian Army Intelligence sources, "The Indian Express" says, "The course has been designed to look at methods of intelligence gathering in insurgency affected areas, in keeping with the challenges that Israel has faced." The course is designed to deal with similar problems in Kashmir and Northeast India. The Israelis will train the Indians in the operation of Israeli-built surveillance and intelligence gathering equipment.
