Eurocom to close 8 Nokia wireless devices service centers

Eurocom Communications is controlled by CEO Shaul Alovitz and the Arison family

Hebrew daily “Yediot Ahronot” reports that Eurocom Communications is about to close eight service centers for Nokia (NYSE; LSE; HEX:NOK) wireless devices.

Eurocomm is controlled by CEO Shaul Alovitz and the Arison family. Industry sources believe that Eurocom will fire 70-90 technical staff as part of its restructuring.

Eurocom operates Nokia service centers for Cellcom and Partner Communications (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE:PTNR; LSE:PCCD) subscribers with Nokia devices. Eurocom recently opened stores to sell Nokia devices. Cellcom and Partner will reportedly hire ten to twenty of the laid-off Eurocom employees.
