Application integration co Itemfield raises $13.5m in 2nd round

Enterprise application integration (EAI) start-up Itemfield has raised $13.5 million in its second financing round. Foundation Capital, Gemini Israel Funds, Accel Partners, Evergreen Partners, and Fourteam participated in the round.

Itemfield has developed software for transmitting data between different systems and platforms, while supporting most existing industry standards. The first version of Itemfield's Content Master is already being sold to customers in the US, Europe, and Israel. Itemfield has also signed important cooperation agreements with Microsoft (Nasdaq:MSFT), IBM (NYSE:IBM), and Software AG (TecDAX:SOW), and is negotiating with other potential global partners.

Itemfield CEO Sam Somech said, "The company's second financing round is a mark of our business strategy and effort to realize a new vision for the data integration market. It is recognition of our progress in the past year in winning new customers and strategic partners. We're proud of our investors and their contribution to the company."

Itemfield CTO Shai Ben-Yehuda founded the company four years ago.

Itemfield has 50 employees at its offices in Tel Aviv, New York and California.
