Bezeq Int'l to provide global high-speed mobile Internet roaming services

IPass service includes Wi-Fi hotspot network connectivity in most major cities.

Bezeq International has signed a contract to provide global broadband roaming through service provider iPass Inc. (Nasdaq: IPAS).

Up until now, Israeli mobile Internet surfers could roam only via analog networks. Bezeq International now becomes the first international call provider to offer broadband roaming service.

IPass services include Wi-Fi hotspot network connectivity in major cities. The service covers 10,000 hot spots.

Wireless operators Partner Communications (Nasdaq:PTNR; TASE:PTNR; LSE:PCCD) and Cellcom already provide roaming service over Wi-Fi networks, charging users on their monthly mobile phone bills.

The iPass service allows Bezeq International customers to use fast Internet and charge them on their monthly bill, with no need to open a second account.
