Haifa municipality allows new floors in Hadar buildings

The permits for extra floors are designed as an economic incentive for contractors.

Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav has allowed the addition of up to two floors on buildings in the Hadar neighborhood. Yahav decided the Haifa municipality engineering division will facilitate plans of contractors wanting to build in excess of existing building rights in the area. The permits for extra floors are designed as an economic incentive to improve building facades and public space.

Yahav said the intention is to rehabilitate the neighborhood, similar to plans for Tel Aviv Florentine and Sheinkin neighborhoods.
