Trade with Arab states up 47.4% in January-August

Exports to Jordan rose 66% in January-August to $90.4 million. Imports from Morocco rose 22%.

Israel's economic relations with Arab states are warming up. Israel's trade with Arab states rose 47.4% in January-August 2004 to $169.7 million, the Central Bureau of Statistics reports.

Israeli exports to Jordan rose 66% in January-August to $90.4 million, while imports rose 29% to $35 million.

Israeli exports to Egypt rose 30.8% in January-August to $18.7 million, while imports rose 31.1% to $19.7 million.

Exports to Morocco rose 50% in January-August, compared with the corresponding period last year, to $3.2 million, while imports rose 22% to $1.1 million.
