Israel Discount Bank (TASE:DSCT) isn't the only bank to introduce innovations at its branch offices, as reported yesterday by "Globes". Over the past two years, Bank Leumi (TASE:LUMI) has also introduced a new concept in upgrading its branches, called the "Bank Branch of the Future". The bank said today that the new concept had already been introduced at Bank Leumi's branches in Kfar Saba and Raanana, making them esthetically pleasing, innovative, and technologically up-to-date.
To date, Bank Leumi has upgraded 10 branches to the "Bank Branch of the Future" concept: Tel Aviv's Gan Ha-Ir mall (currently under renovation), Herzliya, Bnei Brak, Yokneam, Haifa, Dalyat-al-Carmel, Ramle, Lod and, as previously mentioned, Kfar Saba and Raanana.
Bank Leumi said it intends to upgrade another 10-20 branches to the "Bank Branch of the Future" concept during 2005.
Only those branches already slated for renovation will be upgraded to the new concept, so as not to put pressure on the bank's budget.
