Israel National Gas Lines: More tenders will probably be published by year-end.
Turkish steel maker Borusan Mannesmann has won an Israel National Gas Lines Company Ltd. tender for pipes for Israel's natural gas pipeline. The three-year contract is worth $53 million.
Israel National Gas Lines is exercising its first option under the contract, worth $20 million. Borusan Mannesmann will deliver the pipes in May-June 2005 for construction of the overland section of the pipeline between Ashdod, Gezer and Ashkelon.
Israel National Gas Lines says it will probably publish more tenders by year-end for deliveries of equipment and construction of the pipeline.
