Bauman in initial talks to buy Channel 10 stake

Ad man Yoram Bauman is also examining the possibility of investing in one of the Channel 2 franchisees.

Sources inform "Globes" that Yoram Bauman, who is among the owners of advertising agency Bauman-Ber-Rivnay, has begun to conduct initial negotiations on the purchase of a stake in Channel 10.television. Bauman has also begun to examine the possibility of buying a stake in one of the Channel 2 franchisees.

Bauman confirmed the report, and said in response that these were initial contacts in his name and on behalf of a group of investors that is in the process of being formed that includes investors from the world of advertising and other business people.

The Bauman-Ber-Rivnay group is the second largest advertising group in Israel. It comprises the Bauman-Ber-Rivnay advertising agency, which is second in the league table of large agencies, and the Regev Kavitzky, Azimut Advertising and Marketing, Armoni Bates, and Express agencies

Separately, the Second Broadcasting Authority Council has renewed its approval for McCann-Kesher-Barel general manager Ilan Shiluach to buy a stake in Channel 10.
