Rona Segev-Gal, a partner at venture capital firm Evergreen Partners, is leaving the firm after five years. Segev-Gal was mainly responsible for investments in the field of enterprise software, Internet infrastructure, and data storage. As an entrepreneur, she founded Kidum Multimedia, a software company that developed three-dimensional technology, and was acquired by SEA in 1997.
Segev-Gal was among those who led Actona Technologies to its successful exit, when it was sold to Cisco in June for $100 million. This was Evergreen's largest exit since 2000.
Although she has resigned as a partner, Segev-Gal will apparently continue to serve on the boards of directors of those companies for which she has led investment rounds and where she has been an executive member of the management team on behalf of Evergreen. Such companies include Aduva, Identify, Illuminator, ItemField, and Traiana.
Before joining Evergreen, Segev-Gal was VP of business Development at venture capital firm BRM Group, and a member of the investment committee at Koor Technologies.
Segev-Gal said, "After several fruitful years at Evergreen, I decided to set out on a new path. I will continue to be involved in the portfolio companies, and will keep in close touch with Evergreen."
Evergreen managing partner Erez Shachar said, "We had some good years together, and Rona has decided to find her way elsewhere. We respect her decision, and we will remain close. She will continue to be involved in the companies for a further period of time so that the transition will be smooth."
