Shekel-euro exchange rate reaches record NIS 5.9176/€

The shekel-euro exchange rate has risen by 9.8%, or NIS 0.527, since the beginning of 2004.

The shekel-euro representative rate rose another 0.83% today to reach a new record of NIS 5.9176/€. The euro has been strengthening steadily since mid-December, as the dollar falls on international markets.

The dollar fell to a record low against the euro yesterday, after remarks by the Dutch Minister of Finance.

The shekel-euro exchange rate has risen by 9.8%, or NIS 0.527, since the beginning of 2004.

The shekel-dollar representative rate corrected upwards by 0.02% today to NIS 4.34/$. The shekel-dollar exchange rate has risen by 0.46%, or NIS 0.02, in the past three days.

The shekel-euro exchange rate continued to rise after the representative rate was set, climbing another 0.15% to NIS 5.927/€. The shekel-dollar exchange rate rose another 0.12% in inter-bank trading to NIS 4.345/$.
