95% of Phoenicia Flat Glass's triplex laminated safety glass is exported to new markets.
Phoenicia American Israel (Flat Glass) Ltd., run by president Oded Tryah, and controlled by Bill Davidson, has invested NIS 15 million in a production line for triplex glass (a form of laminated safety glass), called "Migunit". The production line will manufacture NIS 100 million worth of triplex glass a year. The triplex glass will be exported to Kenya and Tanzania, new markets for Phoenicia Flat Glass, among other countries.
Triplex glass comprises several layers of glass and polyvinylbuthyral to prevent shattering. It is mainly used for security and vehicle windows. 95% of production is exported to markets newly opened in recent years.
