Elisra wins $15m artillery system contract in Latin America

Elisra group chairman and CEO Danny Biran: It was a very competitive tender, with leading command and control companies.

The Elisra group has won a $15 million tender for artillery command and control systems in a Latin American country.

Elisra group chairman and CEO Danny Biran said, “The tender was very competitive, with leading command and control companies from different companies. In recent years, Elisra has won tender for command and control systems in Europe, Southeast Asia, and Israel, but this was its first important win in a tender for artillery command and control systems in Latin America.”

Tadiran Electronic Systems president and CEO Itzhak Beni added, “Victory in this tender was based on the Elisra group’s standing as a leading provider of artillery command and control solutions for land forces. This project, and others that we have won, enable the company to offer its customers complete and advanced artillery solutions at all levels of warfare, plus integration with command and control solutions for all land forces.”

The Elisra group is part of Koor Industries’ (NYSE: KOR; TASE: KOR) defense activity. The Elisra group includes Elisra Electronic Systems, which designs, develops, and manufactures electronic warfare (EW) systems; Tadiran Electronic Systems, which deals with command and control and EW systems for land warfare; and Tadiran-Spectralink, which develops and manufactures data links and search and rescue equipment for pilots.
