Due to shortage of blood, Magen David Adom urgently asked Cellcom yesterday to send an SMS to all subscribers, asking them to donate blood.
Cellcom agreed, and began sending the following SMS to its subscribers today: "Magen David Adom's blood services asks the public to donate blood, due to a severe shortage. Call: 1-800-400-101. The call center will provide times for blood donations."
This is the first time that SMS is being used to deliver an emergency message.
