Mobile carrier Pele-Phone has deployed a service that enables its customers to inquire about their account balance details using a speech recognition engine developed by Israeli company Natural Speech Communication Ltd. (NSC).
The new service enables Pele-Phone customers to obtain information about their Pele-Phone accounts including current account balance, details about their last and next invoice and unused minutes. The service is delivered using natural speech by the customer with no use of touch-tone menus or human representative. The service is free of charge and is available in three languages according to the customer's preferences: Hebrew, Arabic or Russian.
The interactive voice response (IVR) platform on which the service is deployed is delivered by CTWare - an Israeli vendor specializing in CTI and value added service technology.
Since it was deployed, the service experienced over 8000 calls a day (representing 3 million calls a year). This is regarded as a big success for the new service.
Rishon Lezion-based NSC specializes in speech recognition technology for telephony systems. NSC's solution is based on hardware - PCI boards designed around dedicated processors (DSP). This unique approach by NSC allows high density at low cost with simple system architecture. NSC's hardware based solutions performs speech recognition without any need for CPU resources while maintaining minimal footprints, side by side with maximum control for the users in optimizing system resources for their needs.
NSC is active in the US, Europe and Middle East and involved in the implementation of speech recognition based applications through business partners: IVR and VXML platforms, telephony application developers, system integrators, recording platforms developers and customers such as cellular networks operators.
