Super-Pharm pharmacies will open express counters for over-the-counter drugs.
The Super-Pharm chain today revealed its preparations for the sale of over-the-counter (OTC) drugs in non-pharmaceutical retail businesses. The law legalizing OTC drug sales took effect today. Super-Pharm has been making intensive logistics and operating plans for marketing in recent months, including a NIS 5.5 investment. The chain currently has a 25% share of the estimated NIS 500 million OTC market in Israel.
Super-Pharm has installed computer kiosks with touch screen displays at all of its 115 branches. Consumers can use the screens to obtain visual information about a product, and instructions for using it.
Together with Super-Pharm’s “no waiting” service, express counters will be opened at all Super-Pharm branches, which will enable customers buying OTC drugs and avoid waiting in the usual line, or consult with a pharmacist for professional advice, whichever they choose.
