Tnuva CEO Arik Raichman: Shaul Glicksberg wanted to leave, and supports the issue 100%.
Sources inform "Globes" that Tnuva CEO Arik Raichman is firing CFO Shaul Glicksberg, who opposes privatization of Tnuva. A senior company source confirmed the report. Glicksberg declined to respond.
Raichman denied the reason for Glickberg’s replacement. He said, “Glicksberg supports the issue 100%. He notified me of his wish to resign, and the reasons for it. He’s one of the most talented people in Tnuva, but talented people sometimes move to other jobs.”
The replacement of Glicksberg by Amit Ben Avraham is expected shortly. At a senior Tnuva management meeting today discussing Tnuva’s results, Raichman denied that they were disappointing, and said that the year would be better than planned.
The Israel Cattle Breeders Association opposes privatization of Tnuva, claiming that it will harm shareholders. This opposition has created a rift with management, which plans to float 10% of Tnuva. The confrontation, in which the cattle breeders have openly opposed Raichman, emerged in the annual conference of the dairy and beef sector. The conference is the main meeting point in the sector.
