SAP Labs, the Israeli development center of SAP (NYSE, LSE: SAP; XETRA: SAPG), has recruited 138 development personnel this year, and plans to recruit 100 more by the end of the year. Most of those recruited are software and quality assurance engineers, who will be placed in SAP development units in Ra’anana and Tefen. The hiring campaign is part of SAP’s global expansion. Over the past four years, SAP’s staff in Israel has grown from 45 to over 650 employees.
SAP Labs VP human resources Lior Ron said today, “The importance of the technology developed in its development laboratory in Israel has led SAP to make proper preparations and expand its recruitment of trained employees specializing in software development. The number of new employees joining our ranks is a result of the volume of activity and importance of the tasks assigned to SAP’s development center in Israel.”
Ron added that tens of thousands of customers and users were being helped by SAP products developed in the Israeli R&D center, including the SAP Enterprise Portal, supply chain management solutions, and SAP Business One, a business and finance management program for small and medium-sized businesses (SMB).
SAB Labs is part of SAP’s international development entity, which participates in developing supply chain management solutions, enterprise portals, and solutions for the SMB market.
