Despite a successful exit amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars, EZchip founder Eli Fruchter is not retiring; he is joining the board of directors of Nova Measuring Instruments Ltd. (Nasdaq:NVMI; TASE:NVMI), a provider of metrology solutions for advanced process control used in semiconductor manufacturing.
Early this year, EZchip was sold to Mellanox Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq:MLNX) for $811 million. Before EZchip, Fruchter founded LanOptics, in which he was a managing partner, leading the company to a successful Nasdaq IPO. Still earlier, Fruchter, a Technion Israel Institute of Technologygraduate in electrical engineering, was a cofounder of Adacom.
"Eli is a leader and pioneer in the technology industry and we are pleased to welcome him to Nova's board of directors," said Dr. Micha Brunstein, Chairman of Nova's Board. "We believe his wide experience in different segments of the industry, along with his proven leadership, will further strengthen our board's breadth of talent." Nova's current market cap is $310 million.
