Karnit Flug: "There is a sense of something changing in the past 3-4 years.
"There is a sense of something dynamic and changing in the Arab community, and that's not something you could have said 3-4 years ago. I'm optimistic," said Governor of the Bank of Israel Dr. Karnit Flug during a tour of Nazareth and Sakhnin together with Authority for the Economic Development of the Arab, Druze and Circassian Sectors director Aiman Saif. "There is no doubt that integrating the Arab community in Israeli society and the economy is very high on our agenda."
Flug visited the new jobs center in Sakhnin, which provides both job training and placement. "These centers have great potential to make major change in Arab society. If we continue the effort, we'll achieve good results," she said.
At the Nazareth high-tech industrial park, Flug was welcomed by its founder, Stef Wertheimer and she spoke with managers of companies, most of which are exporters.
