Hot fined NIS 1.3m for long call center waits

The Cable and Satellite TV Council imposed the fine after complaints from the public.

Hot Telecommunication Systems Ltd. has been fined NIS 1.3 million by the Cable and Satellite Television Council for unreasonably long waits over the past few months for its telephone call center in contravention of the terms of its license.

The fine was imposed following the many complaints that the council received from the public over the past few months. Information on the matter was piling up at the council which undertook a comprehensive enquiry into the matter and found that the exceptionally long waiting time did indeed infringe the conditions of Hot's license.

Hot was also instructed to work swiftly to improve waiting times at its call centers.
