HOT Telecommunication Systems Ltd. (TASE: HOT) has shaken up the Internet market today, offering a surfing speed of 200 Mbps, which no other provider in Israel can currently match. Moreover, the company declared this morning that, by the end of the year, it would launch Internet at 0.5 giga (500 Mbps).
As for price, Hot says that for the launch it will offer a three-month 200 Mbps triple package for new subscribers. The offer is valid for one month.
Existing customers can obtain a "triple platinum" package that includes 200 Mbps surfing speed, an all-inclusive television channel package, unlimited telephone calls in Israel, and the Hot Fiber Box communications box, for NIS 399 monthly. Internet only subscribers can obtain 200 Mbps Internet for a NIS 169 monthly introductory price. The company did not say what the full price would be after the introductory offer.
Hot CEO Ilan Zachi said today that the company had doubled its surfing speed within a year, and that it was extending its lead over rival Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ).
