Israeli startup Dome9 Security raises $8.3m

Israeli cloud infrastructure security startup Dome9 Security, which develops security and compliance products for public clouds, has raised $8.3 million in Series B financing. The investment will enable the company to grow its sales and marketing efforts, and expand its product portfolio for purpose-built cloud security solutions. The companys cloud security service currently protects more than 250 enterprise customers.

Dome9 SecOps cloud infrastructure security service protects IaaS deployments. Leveraging cloud-native technologies, Dome9 orchestrates security policies, visualizes security risks, and remediates threats to ensure secure application delivery in the cloud. Among the companys unique services is Dome9 Clarity that is trusted by hundreds of enterprises to concisely visualize security policies and maps threats across enterprise clouds over Amazon Web Services (AWS), Windows Azure, IBM/SoftLayer, Google Cloud Platform, and many others.

The company has raised a total of $13 million in funding to date and this new round will primarily be used to accelerate its growth among enterprise cloud users. The Series B round is being led by ORR Partners and includes new Investors JAL Ventures, Pinnacle and Lazarus Israel Opportunity Fund. Existing investor Opus Capital Ventures also participated in the round.

The company is now headquartered in Menlo Park, California with its development center in Tel Aviv. CEO Zohar Alon and CTO Roy Feintuch founded the company.
